Erica Davis creates works of art with the love and support of her husband and children on the unceded territories of the Ts'msyen Nation. As a student of the Freda Diesing School of Northwest Coast Art, she is learning and practicing the formline of her Nisga'a and Heiltsuk Ancestors. Erica spent much of her life disconnected from her culture, her language, and her identity, but with a deep connection to the art within her heart she feels the fraying threads entwine themselves together, creating a stronger bond and a more balanced sense of self. Erica brings life to her creations as an act of resilience and expression of strength to encourage others as we walk the road of reconciliation. She expresses her strong protective love of all things natural in her designs as she weaves the natural elements with the strands of everyday living to inspire and encourage us in an era of change and deep self reflection.
